Social Value (সামাজিক মূল্যবোধ)
Social value is the norms or forms of behaviour that are widely acceptable and admirable in the human society. It refers also to the life style what people think that they should adopt. In the past, honesty, sincerity, truthfulness. piety, fellow-feeling etc. We are considered to be social values. Adopting unfair means in any walk of life for any reason whatsoever was regarded as evil. People tried to keep themselves aloof from all sorts of malpractices and misdeeds. Honesty is the best policy’ this was the motto of people in general. The miscreants were in great disrepute in the society. They were hated by all and sundry. Now the criminals are honoured as heroes of the society. People feel frightened to speak against their evil deeds. The causes of the present social values are materialistic attitude of people in general. With a few exceptions, people now run after name, fame and fortune without giving any thought to right or wrong, good or evil, moral or immoral. The noble qualities are now in exdile. Honest people are now pushed to the wall. The wrong doers are now held in high esteem because of their post, power and position. Social values which were honoured and harboured by people in the past should be preserved by way of raising awareness in people by inculcating the habit of doing good deeds, maintaining moral scruples, detesting vices and corrupt practices. So we should emphasise on socil value to lead nice and beautiful life.

অনুবাদ : সামাজিক মূল্যবোধ আচরণের আদর্শ ও অবার যা মানবসমাজে ব্যাপকভাবে গৃহীত ও প্রশংসীত। এটা অবশ্য এটাও বুঝায় যে জীবনধারণের ধরন যা মানুষ গ্রহণ করে। পূর্বে সততা, সহমর্মিতা, সত্যবাদিতা, দয়াকে সামাজিক মূল্যবোধ হিসেবে ধরা হতো। আমাদেরকে সামাজিক মূল্যবোধে বিবেচনা করা হয়। অসদুপায় অবলম্বন করা জীবনের যেকোন ক্ষেত্রেই খারাপ বলে বিবেচিত হয়। মানুষ চেষ্টা করে দুর্নীতি এবং খারাপ কাজ থেকে বিরত থাকতে। “সততাই সর্বোৎকৃষ্ট পন্থা”, এটা সাধারণ মানুষের উদ্দেশ্য। দুষ্কৃতিকারীরা সমাজে বড় কুখ্যাত ছিল। তারা সকলের দ্বারা ঘূর্ণিত হয়, আজকাল সন্ত্রাসীরাই নায়ক হিসেবে সমাজে বিবেচিত হয়। মানুষ তাদের বিরুদ্ধে কথা বলতে সাহস পায় না। আজকাল সামাজিক মূল্যবোধের বস্তুগত দৃষ্টিভঙ্গি সাধারণ মানুষের, কিছু ব্যতিক্রম ছাড়া মানুষ এখন নামের ভবিষ্যতের পিছনে ছোটে, ভুল ঠিক, ভালো-মন্দ, নৈতিক অনৈতিক বিবেচনা না করেই। মহৎ চরিত্র এখন বিলীন। সৎ ব্যক্তিরা এখন কোণঠাসা হয়ে গেছে। অসৎ ব্যক্তিরা এখন উচ্চ আসনে তাদের শক্তি অবস্থানের কারণে। সামাজিক মূল্যবোধ সমাদৃত হয়। পিছনের দিকে তাকিয়ে জনগণকে ভালো কিছু করার অভ্যাস করতে। নৈতিক দিক বিবেচনা এবং দুর্নীতি থেকে বিরত থাকতে জাগিয়ে তুললে। তাই আমাদের সুন্দর এবং সুখীময় জীবন গড়তে সামাজিক মূল্যবোধের প্রভাব পড়ে।
