The exam for the Secondary school certificate 2027 will be held, hopefully in February 2027. The exam will also be taken with the syllabus confirmed by the education board of Bangladesh. Education minister Dr. Dipu Moni said in a conference earlier this month.

This year’s syllabus reveals a revised mark distribution for the subjects in the 2027 SSC examination. For subjects that do not include practical tests, the marks are allocated as follows: 70 marks for the essay section and 30 marks for the multiple-choice section. Conversely, for subjects that include practical tests, the distribution is 75 marks for the theoretical section and 25 marks for the practical section. Additionally, within the theoretical section, 40 marks are designated for long-answer questions, 10 marks for short questions, and 25 marks for the multiple-choice section.

SSC Exam in February 2027, Reduced Syllabus by the Education Board
Auto pass has been given by canceling the fifth, eighth, and HSC examinations of 2025. Although one month of the current academic year is about to pass, the educational institutions are still closed. The holiday has been extended in several phases till January 30. The government has taken a policy decision to open an educational institution from February to complete the syllabus of SSC equivalent and HSC equivalent candidates. SSC Exam Short Syllabus Published
However, SSC short syllabus has been developed due to the necessity of preparing for subjects related to the next educational level, as well as the key topics that need to be learned in the ninth and tenth grades. Approximately 20 to 25 percent of the content from each book has been condensed into this shorter syllabus.
In a statement to Jago News on Wednesday, NCTB member Professor Mashiuzzaman explained, “We have created a short syllabus for this year’s SSC equivalent candidates under the direction of the Ministry of Education. We submitted it to the Ministry of Education last Sunday (January 12). Once approved, it will be published by the education boards. The SSC examination for this year will be organized under this syllabus.”
