Water Pollution (পানি দূষণ) Paragraph
Environment pollution refers to the introduction of harmful pollutants into the environment. Water is one of the major elements of the environment. Water is called life as the life of both animals and plant is impossible without water. But it is being polluted day by day for many reasons. The main reason of water pollution is the irresponsibility of human beings. People throw waste into the water and pollute it. Ships throw oil, human wastes, and other wastes into river and sea water which causes water pollution. Farmers use chemical fertilizers and insecticides in their fields that mix up with rainwater and flow down into rivers and canals causing water pollution. Besides, some people use insanitary latrines by rivers, canals or drains which greatly pollute water. By drinking polluted water people become ill. Fishes die in polluted water and even farming becomes impossible in severely polluted water. It is a threat to our natural environment. People can stop water pollution by being conscious of it. Farmers should use natural or green fertilizers in their fields. People should use sanitary latrines. Ship owners should be careful to build the bottom layer of their ships properly to stop oil sipping. Thus we can save water from pollution.

অনুবাদ : পরিবেশে ক্ষতিকারক দূষণকারী পদার্থের উপস্থিতিই পরিবেশ দূষণ। পানি হলো পরিবেশের প্রধান উপাদানগুলোর একটি। পানিকে জীবন বলা হয় কেননা পানি ছাড়া উদ্ভিদ ও প্রাণী উভয়েরই জীবন অসম্ভব। কিন্তু অনেক কারণে দিন দিন এ পানি দূষিত হচ্ছে। পানি দূষণের প্রধান কারণ মানুষের দায়িত্বহীনতা। লোকজন পানিতে আবর্জনা ফেলে এবং পানি দূষিত করে। জাহাজ থেকে তেল, মানুষের বর্জ্য এবং অন্যান্য আবর্জনা নদীতে এবং সমুদ্রের পানিতে নির্গত হয়। যা পানি দূষিত করে। কৃষকরা তাদের জমিতে রাসায়নিক সার এবং কীটনাশক ব্যবহার করে যা বৃষ্টির পানিতে মিশে নদী কিংবা খালে বয়ে যায় এবং পানিকে দূষিত করে। তাছাড়া কিছু লোকজন নদী, খাল, নালা, ইত্যাদির পাশে অস্বাস্থ্যকর পায়খানা নির্মাণ করে যা মারাত্মকভাবে পানি দূষিত করে। দূষিত পানি পান করে মানুষ অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়ে। দূষিত পানিতে মাছ মারা যায়, এমনকী মারাত্মকভাবে দূষিত পানিতে চাষাবাদ অসম্ভব হয়ে পড়ে। এটি আমাদের প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশের ওপর হুমকিস্বরূপ। প্রাকৃতিক পরিবেশ সম্পর্কে সচেতন হয়ে মানুষ পানি দূষণ বন্ধ করতে পারে। কৃষকদের জমিতে প্রাকৃতিক অথবা সবুজসার ব্যবহার করা উচিত। লোকজনের স্বাস্থ্যসম্মত পায়খানা ব্যবহার করা উচিত। জাহাজ মালিকদের তাদের জাহাজের নিচের স্তর তৈরিতে সতর্ক হওয়া উচিত যা তেল চুয়ে পড়া বন্ধ করতে পারে। এভাবে আমরা পানিকে দূষণের হাত থেকে বাঁচাতে পারি।
